Poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the bank rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the croupier declares "No further bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other players attain 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet is the conclusion. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a sum equal to the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out money equal to your wager and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
