Internet poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different gamblers receive 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you must either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning bet, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantly to the house. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including a figure equal to the original wager. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The house pays out chips even with your original bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
