Caribbean Poker Regulations and Tricks

Internet poker has become globally famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the casino instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers acquire five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s value is akin to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes directly to the house. After the bet comes the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus a figure in accordance with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays chips even with your initial bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
