Online poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling 21 than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer saying "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other players receive 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a figure in accordance with the original wager. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pays out chips even with your original bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
