Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the western in an excellent game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the croupier, unlike most other poker games that players compete with other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, beginner players don’t need to be concerned about other, more experienced individuals winning their money.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the fairly leisurely game pace, novices should be able to take their time and strategize without needing to make frenzied choices.

It’s also easier to play for a long time with basically a tiny bit of cash seeing as, to not win, each of your hands must be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the dealer is given 7 cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one two card hand have to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
