Web poker has become world famous recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its television scores. Over the years numerous types on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer announcing "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers receive five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original ante, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes immediately to the casino. After the wager is the face off. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with an amount in accordance with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The house pays cash equal to your bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
